Heilgeistkirche
The Holy Ghost Church, neo-Baroque in style with a Rococo interior, started out as a gothic church in the 14th century.  It has been several times remodeled, with the interior redecorated by the Asam brothers.  At night, befittingly, it glows a ghostly blue.  During the Kriskindlmarkt, or Christmas Market, downtown Munich is ablaze with pastel shades of light transforming it into a fairy tale setting.  These night shots were among my first impressions of the country in which I was to spend about six wonderful months.
