Dublin Churches
Dublin's a great place to visit.  It's chock full of churches, and one ex-church that is now a tourism center.  Christchurch was built in 1038 of wood, and rebuilt in stone in 1172.  St. Patrick's church, a rival for importance, dates from around 1200, though it was "over restored" in 1864, meaning that it's original form was somewhat modified, including the addition of the flying buttresses.  The Gothic Royal Chapel was built at Dublin Castle from 1807-1814.
