Holgate Glacier, Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska
Holgate Glacier is another offshoot of the Harding Ice field.  It was the destination of the one-day cruise we took  The glacier calves frequently, sounding like gunshots as pieces break off and plunge into the sea.  The black bear we saw swimming was near hear- he was apparently trying to get around the glacier and was unable to do so on land.
