Arlington Hotel, Hot Springs, Arkansas
The Arlington Hotel is probably the best place to stay in Hot Springs.  It's a nice place, albeit the rooms are dated and need to be renovated.  The lobby and entire downstairs is in great shape, and it's at the center of where you want to be, unless you're into horse racing, which I'm not.  The hotel was originally built in 1875, where I'm standing now, and was 4 stories tall.  It was replaced by a larger hotel in 1892 in the same spot.  In 1923, that building was destroyed by fire, and the current Arlington built across the street, and it is 11 stories tall.
