Presidio of San Francisco, California
This view looks out over part of the Presidio beachfront towards San Francisco Bay. The island in the middle-right is the famous Alcatraz prison, now open to tourism (see separate gallery for Alcatraz).
The Presidio is home to more than 500 historic buildings, coastal fortifications, a national cemetery, old airfield, saltwater marsh, forests, beaches, coastal bluffs, etc. It's a beautiful piece of land that demands that I explore it more the next time I'm in San Francisco.
