Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park is a very interesting place- it's a seaside sanctuary maintained by the rulers of ancient Hawaii so that anyone being pursued, if they got there, could seek refuge. They would do penance, then be reintroduced, forgiven of their misdeeds back to the Hawaiian society. This game board was on display in the compound.
