We bought one of these palm ferns on Kauai, and it is currently (as of 2007) growing in our living room. Looking out over the crater and you can see Mauna Loa in the background, the second highest peak on the island. Mauna Kea, to the north (and not visible here) is about 100m higher, and from tip to base deep in the ocean, is the biggest mountain on Earth.
