The colors just kept changing and getting more brilliant. You will see differences in these shots between wide angle and zoom shots. Wide angle will be bluer with more sky, and the rich colors will blend somewhat together into brilliant bands. Close-ups, like this one, will reveal more subtle changes, including rich colors in the clouds (we are above them here, at about 10,000 feet) and more subtle color variation in the sky as well.
