Hanauma Bay is the premiere snorkeling spot on Oahu. It's about a 30 minute drive from Waikiki, and you'd better get there early, because once the parking lot fills up, that's it for easy entry. Afterwards, the only way to get in is to be lucky enough to arrive as someone is leaving, and there's nowhere to hang out and wait for that to happen. So, in order to circumvent having to just be lucky, get up a bit extra early and drive out here. The snorkeling is fantastic, and as you can see here, the beach is gorgeous.
