The Polynesian Cultural Center is an interesting place. On one hand, it's quite touristy, and this being our chosen luau, found out that it was run by the Mormon Church, and hence no Mai Tai's (no alcohol). Bummer, but on the other hand I respect the Church's respect for the various island cultures across the Pacific. In the New World, Spain destroyed old cultures, but the Mormons have taken great pain to preserve them. So, luau aside, the cultural activities from islands such as Tonga and the Marquesas are worth seeing. I believe this was in the Fiji pavilion.
