Craters of the Moon National Monument, Idaho
Over on the southeast corner of the park, you can take a walk to Dewdrop Cave
and several other caves and tunnels. This barren-but-rich-in-3D landscape
is your entertainment for about 15 minutes while you make the hike. This
lava is in the form of large chunks that fell and cooled irregularly.
