Badlands National Park, South Dakota
The Badlands are nothing more than erosion run rampant, and many states in this region have areas they call "badlands."  However, this is the grandest of all the badlands in this country.  The big dirt piles are like miniature mountains.  At the top, you have the high plains.  At the bottom, you have what it is eroding into.  In between, these mountains dimunutae.
