As you ascend towards Logan Pass, you pass through several tunnels and the side of the road drops precipitously downwards. The east side of the pass is not so bad- the west side is breathtaking, as if you veered off the road, it would be quite a while before you actually hit something. Luckily, there are walls and guard rails to protect at least the reasonable drivers.
