Yellowstone NP, Mammoth Hot Springs (Jupiter Terrace)
This photo is in color, believe it or not. When a spring dries up, the algae and bacteria die off and the true color of the minerals is all you see- and in this case, it is white. These things come and go, and this spring could come back to life at any time.
