Yellowstone NP, Mammoth Hot Springs (New Blue Spring)
Mammoth Hot Springs is an area near the North Entrance that is just weird. There are thermal springs all over the area, which have been leaking mineral-laden water for millennia. The results are these strange cave-like formations out in the open. The subject of this next group of pictures is New Blue Spring, which consists of all these little terraces formed by walls of minerals that act as mini-dams pooling the water.
