Rainbow Pool, Black Sand Basin, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Rainbow Pool was a jewel in the Black Sand Basin area. Its color was more green than the other pools, which leads me to believe it is cooler, hence allowing life to live deeper in the pool. Notice that there is also very little steam rising from it. Just a hundred meters away are hotter pools that almost overwhelm you with sulphur-scented steam.
