Black Sand Basin, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Black Sand Basin is on around the southern loop just west of Old Faithful.  I also missed this on my first trip, and it is well worth spending an hour here.  There is a great geyser on a stream shore that constantly erupts (not good for 3D due to the rapid motion), and plenty of hot pools and a rainbow of colors.  This was one of the pools and subsequent polychrome microbial life clinging to its edges.
