Central Park, New York City
We're now on the northwest side of the park, looking across the reservoir to the southeast. This 843 acre park was designed in 1858 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. The poor rocky landscape was overhauled with dirt from New Jersey. The park has had it's ups and downs, but is well-preserved today and offers 58 miles of trails and over 26,000 trees.
