San Antonio, Texas Christmas on the River Walk in San
Antonio. This photo was actually taken the day after Thanksgiving,
when the city traditionally lights up the river and has a large floating
parade to usher in the Christmas buying season. Each exposure was about
one minute long, which had the effect of blurring out the hundreds of people
who walked by- you can barely see them as a ghostly mass on the far side
of the river. The people sitting at the tables on the left stayed put.
A bluish filter should be used when photographing under incandescent light
to reduce the golden glow a bit. 1989, Jeffrey L. Cooper
