Austin, Texas
Now, to the inside. All these dome shots are
with my 17mm super-wide angle lens. This is what I call the "kissing
circles" shot. Each floor of the capitol building has access to the
dome area with viewing balconies. I just lined up so that all the circles
touched at one edge. The yellow cast on the outer circles is due to my
using outdoor film with tungsten (incandescent) lighting. The dome appears
whitish because it is, in fact, lit by outdoor light, while the lower layers are
artificially lit. There is not much I can do without masking off part of
the image and then correcting only the outer rings. Later pictures without
the dome top are corrected.
