| Bexar County | |
| This is the fourth courthouse for Bexar County. This Romanesque
building was designed by James Riely Gordon, and constructed from
1891-1896. It underwent expansions in 1914, 1926, 1963, 1970, and
1973 (as would be required to support a city as large as San Antonio).
It is located on Main Plaza, former called La Plaza de las Islas when
it was laid out by a group of Canary Islanders relocated to Texas by the
King of Spain to populate his territory.
