Tarrant County

The Tarrant County courthouse in Fort Worth was completed in 1895.  It is covered in pink granite, and was designed by the architects Gunn and Curtiss from Kansas City.

It sits at the end of Main Street in downtown, on a bluff overlooking the Trinity River.  It has a commanding view to the north (see Fort Worth section of 3D galleries).

It is still in use as a courthouse, although it has had a modern addition on the west side- to the right of this picture.
