La Grange, Texas
Driving into La Grange, I spotted this old-style motel- the kind that used to dot the American landscape before the dawn of the Interstate system, complete with an A-frame front office.  2006 update:  Thanks to an alert reader, I found out that this motel is quite famous- it was the motel depicted in the 1982 movie The Best Little Whоrehоuse in Texas with Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton.
