Greenthread, Kingsland, Texas
Just before coming into Kingsland from the east (near FM 1855), we saw this beautiful field full of Greenthread (Thelesperma), also called Navajo Tea because Indians used to make a tea from them.
Fluttering around the field of Greenthread were more than a few butterflies.  These fellows were two I managed to get photos of (they weren't too patient waiting for me to focus and shoot).  The one on the left is actually on my leg.
