Canyonlands National Park, Utah
Hiking through the southern half of this park is a
must. Even with just a couple of hour hike you will be rewarded with ever changing
scenery and formations. It was during this hike that I experienced total
silence for the first time. It was deafening. There was no wind, no
planes, no birds, no other people (for a little while). Complete, total
silence. You could hear the blood rushing through the veins in your
head. I would never trade that experience for anything.
